Table lamp, cordless lamp, bedside lamp. The design is reduced to three shapes: a solid cylinder for the base, a thin straight rod, and a flat round disc on top that holds a ring of LEDs underneath. The whole lamp is metal, in matte black or brushed gold, and the light falls in a soft pool around the base rather than into the room.

It stands 13.4 inches tall with a 3.1 inch top, narrow enough to fit beside a bed, on a crowded desk or between plates on a dining table. The top of the lamp is the switch: tap it to turn it on and to cycle through warm, neutral and cool white light, and hold it to dim smoothly. The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to change.

The battery sits in the base and charges through a USB port on the side, so there is no cord running across the table. Soft silicone feet underneath keep it from sliding or scratching the surface. Use one on a nightstand, or line up two or three along a sideboard or bar counter. It suits modern, minimalist, industrial and scandinavian interiors.
