Table lamp, bedside lamp, cordless lamp. The design is three parts: a solid stone cylinder for the base, a drum shade in natural linen, and a small disc of the same stone set into the top of the shade, so the stone shows from above as well as from the side. Two stones: warm beige travertine with its small natural pores, or a white marble with deep purple veining, often called viola marble.

It is 6.9 inches across and 9.8 inches tall, sized for a nightstand, bookshelf, desk or dining table rather than as the main light in a room. The LED is built in, dimmable, and switches between three light colors from warm to cool white. The linen spreads the light evenly, so the lamp glows rather than glares, and the stone base picks up the light from the shade above it.

There are two power versions. The rechargeable version has a built-in battery and charges over USB, so it moves from the bedside to the dining table with no cord to hide. The plug-in version runs from a US power adapter and suits a lamp that stays in one place. It fits japandi, wabi sabi, minimalist, mid century and organic modern interiors.
