Table lamp, lantern lamp, cordless lamp. The shape borrows from a camping lantern and makes it tidy enough for the house: a round metal base, a slim rectangular metal frame that doubles as a carry handle, and a clear cylinder in the middle with the light glowing up from inside the base. Lifted by the handle, it goes wherever the table is.

It is small: 6.9 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide, about the size of a candle holder. That makes it right for a nightstand, a bookshelf, a bar counter or the middle of a dining table, and a row of two or three works along a sideboard. Touch control switches it on and dims the light, and because there is no cord it can sit in the middle of a table with nothing to hide.

There are three finishes, black, silver and gold, and two light versions. The White Light version gives warm to cool white. The Color Changing version adds a range of colors for parties, a kids room or an evening on the patio. It suits modern, industrial, scandinavian and minimalist interiors.
